Cathy gave some tips for increasing security on WordPress websites to keep hackers away.

Make sure you have a current backup of your website files and know how to restore them if needed.
Don’t use the username “admin” and always use strong passwords (letters, numbers, symbols, etc.)
Keep your websites files, themes, and plugins updated to the current version.
Use a security plugin to lock out hackers trying to guess passwords.
Use a respected hosting company that has its own security measures.
