Dave Newman 8-8-18
Dave first talked about storm doors that houses have in front of their main doors. He’s worked with some recently. There is a new mechanism available to keep it open and can be activated with your foot which is handy if you are carrying things. He also showed a wind chain which can be attached to a door to keep it from being torn off the hinges if a sudden strong gust of winds catches it and yanks it open.
He also passed around a standard electrical outlet and gave a little lesson about the wiring of outlets. Only one slot, the smaller, carries the current so wires have to connected to that side. He demonstrated a tool that can detect if the outlet is correctly wired.
Dave has a wealth of knowledge of how things work and loves to figure out problems so give him a call for all the little things that are not working for you.
