David Lindgren is Business Coach member. David stressed that everyone needs a coach, someone to speak up to, to hold them accountable. Your coach can be your accountability partner. Set goals or end up falling backwards. Work “on your business” rather than “in your business”.
David presented us with a handout “Creating S.M.A.R.T. Goals” which is a guide to setting specific goals.
S stands for SPECIFIC goal which must answer: Who?, What?, Where? When? Which?.
M stands for MEASURABLE – setting concrete criteria for measuring progress.
A stands for ATTAINABLE – goals that are important to you are ones you will find a way to make come true.
R stands for REALISTIC – an objective toward which you are both willing and able work.
T stands for TIMELY – a goal should be grounded in a time frame. Shift negative reinforcement to positive reinforcement, set goals that will make a difference, stay on task.
David suggested making a TO DO list daily writing down all the things that are important to do, the things that you have the time, the energy and the priority to do. In general, everyone has some state of disarray in their life. Remember David Lindgren and Success Coach when you hear your associates mention that they are looking to build some structure into their business life.
