Hovig’s partner, Dr. Shannon Burke, spoke of the practice’s mission of promoting wellness in the prevention of illness. She says stress (physical, emotional, & chemical) is the cause of 90% of all disease and triples the risk of getting cancer.

Most people take medicine treating conditions that could have been prevented earlier by following a plan with the letters DREAM.

Diet: Drink 1/2 your body weight in water ounces daily, eat lots of colors of foods except white.

Rest: 7-8 hours sleep each night.

Exercise: 20-30 minutes daily if it raises heart rate.

Alignment of spine: correct posture so your lungs get enough oxygen.

Mental/Emotional health: Under stress, inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7 sec, and exhale for 8 seconds.
