Howard gave an economic update for the Village. He proudly stated that Skokie is #1 in Illinois for economic development and in the top 10 nationwide.

This fall we expect the re-opening of the Old Orchard theatres with new seating and services. Culvers, Chick-Fil-A and Bank of America are due to open down the street from the theatres

Taco Burrito King has finally opened at corner of Lincoln Ave.and Skokie Blvd.

Touhy Ave. continues to be an area of business growth both near McCormick Blvd and across from Village Crossing Shopping Center.

The Chamber has absorbed the group formerly known as the Independent Merchants of Downtown Skokie (IMODS) and renamed it the Downtown Skokie Alliance. Look for events during the year.
