Howard Meyer 7-12-17
Howard Meyer is the Executive Director of the Skokie Chamber and the PRO group.
Despite the 92 year history of the Skokie Chamber, Howard is only its 5th Executive Director. He has always been an advocate for local businesses in matters between the state and local government offices.
Some recent issues include the proposed “road diet” limiting truck traffic on Oakton St., the 2.5% proposed telecommunications tax increase, minimum wage and sick leave laws. Skokie is not opting out of the new wage increases so expect to be paying more for services in the future.
He will also be voting in August regarding video gambling parlors. He hopes Skokie will limit it to bars and restaurants only.
Give Howard a call if your business needs an advocate at Village Hall or in Springfield.
