John values personal relationships with his clients and remembers a time he lost business to another architect who sold the owner on being “eco-friendly” even though they hadn’t told John that they were looking for that.
John’s priority is making beautiful, functional living space but does use sustainable practices such as insulation that is sprayed on instead of rolled.
He has found that many people are open to the idea of eco-friendly materials but don’t want to spend the extra money. For example, solar panels on roof to generate electricity or geo-thermal heating. Both have big initial costs and years before seeing enough savings to justify investment.
Give John a call if you hear anyone talking about needing someone to make renovations to their home.
