Joy Schaefer 4-1-15

Joy Schaefer is our Home Care member. Joy gave us a presentation about the lead sources for Home Helpers and the type of clients they have received from those lead sources. While initially, Home Helpers focused on marketing to the senior market, it became apparent early on that their clients were the adult children of a senior who needed additional care.
 
One of their lead sources is Estate Planning Attorneys who can refer potential clients who need the services for estate planning and often need to plan for the time when they cannot care for themselves. Another lead source is financial planner or life insurance specialists who also handle long term care insurance. These sources are working with individuals who are often in life changing situations which can include caring for a loved one. There are internet lead sources that refer inquiries that come into a centralized data collecting source and distribute the lead among home care agencies who subscribe to their services. The most frequently used lead sources are the networking groups such as PRO that Joy and her business partner, Tom, belong to.
