Mike gave an overview of where your business has exposures to being sued. If you have clients come to your office, have adequate insurance to cover any slips or falls on boxes, electrical cords, water on the floor, bunched up door mats.
Outside your office, you may have liability depending on the terms of lease, building owner’s insurance, city ordinances. Parking lots can be dangerous with pot holes, parking blocks, unplowed ice and snow. Be sure you know whose responsibility it is to plow.
You may have liability if you have employees driving on company time for a work task. Not responsible coming or going from work. Make sure you have adequate coverage on your insurance policy.
