Mike spoke about the activities people engage in over the summer as possible ways people could be liable for injuries.
More people are walking their dogs. Dog owners have a “strict liability” for injuries. People don’t even have to be directly attacked/bitten by the dog. If the dog startles them enough to recoil and trip and be injured, the person can sue.
Summer parties can be a risk of people tripping on stairs, objects left on sidewalks, playing around pools and fire pits. Keep alcohol and drugs under locks.
Watch out for people on bicycles. Be aware of bike paths when opening car doors.
Give Mike a call if anyone you know has been injured due to negligence or even think it may have been negligence.
