Sam Eckerling is our Printer member. Sam has been in the printing business at the same location for 37 years. The business has changed over time, initially customers didn’t have their own computers and typesetting involved putting down metal type and printing press plates were made. Also Sam used to do his customers photocopies, now everyone has their own copier in their offices. Unfortunately, that often means that everyone thinks they can do their own graphics by taking images off the internet that are not of good enough resolution to use. Sam generally needs graphics that are 300 dpi to produce good quality prints.

If Sam can find a way to help save his customers money, he will do so. Like in the case of color printing, he can do a PMS color match to an exact hue, but if it is not necessary, he can suggest a standard color. He has build his business on the premise that he treats he customers that way he would like to be treated himself. Sam brought samples of brochures, EDDM cards, notebooks, brochures and Holiday cards that he can supply.
